Advanced Manufacturing Technology Student Works on Unique Project

An Advanced Manufacturing Technology student, Ben Hess, along with Assistant Professor Brian Wickham, recently worked on an antique car part from a collection in Heritage Museum and Gardens in Cape Cod. As part of a machining laboratory class, they collaborated with the museum to modify a radiator cap for a Mercer Raceabout (for those who don’t know, this is a very rare sports car). In turn, the museum will now have a moto meter when using the car at events and touring.

This was a very unique opportunity, and they hope to further the partnership with Heritage Museum and Gardens and continue with these types of exciting projects in the future.
